Ricky’s Beach House is one of the project runs under the Authentic Sumatra Association that focused on beach front guesthouse, eco-tour operator and environmental project. The association created by Ricky Putra SINARO, a local from the village of Nagari Sungai Pinang. Providing a unique way to discover Sumatran fishing village and does not follow the trends of mass tourism. Our aim is to help the local population to achieve better economic growth through tourism, while protecting their traditions and heritage.
We also provide great opportunity for motivated young people from our village to learn about other cultures by providing work for them. Its helps our young people to gain international understanding and knowledge, which we hope can lead them to have a better vision for their future.

MENTAWAI
Mentawai (also known as Mentawei and Mentawi) people are the native people of the Mentawai Islands (principally Siberut, Sipura, North Pagai and South Pagai) about 100 miles from West Sumatra province, Indonesia. They live a semi-nomadic hunter-gatherer lifestyle in the coastal and rainforest environments of the islands and are also one of the oldest tribes in Indonesia.

I had an amazing time at the beach house. I stayed there with my family in the big bungalow. Everyday was live music and very nice staff who love to chat and play games. Definitely recommend everyone to do the waterfall trek, it was really good hidden and beautiful and secluded to stay all day. It was awesome!
